11 days with no action? Anybody still working on a Halftrack?

One more week and January's over. Anyone need more time to finish? I certainly hope we'll see more finishers!

Cheers!

Yep, still working. Doing weathering and driver now. WILL finish. Might need a few days after to finish the base, but that is coming along as well.

I will finish, I will finish...

Just weathering mine as well, plus some detail painting.

Cheers Rob.

Had to move an entire museum. Been getting home, eating dinner and passing out. Very little building around here. Probably not gonna finish, since we have one building still to finish up...

Jon,

I have been following your M15A1 build with great interest, because I have the Commander kit also. Even if you don't finish it in time for this campaign, I hope you will continue to update us on your progress either here or in a seperate thread.

Dave,

Dont worry, I'll finish it. We've just been relocating to a new facility on post, so I've been busy as anything all day and have been unconscious by about 8pm as a result. I usually build between 9PM and 1AM, so that's taken a big hit. We should be finished with the move by next week, so I'm hoping to be back into the swing of things by then...

I am just about done. I just have to finish the driver and then mount it on the base. One question though, how do you guys get the 'wet' look to the mud that you put on your vehicles. I was thinking of just putting some 'gloss' on it, but will wait for your responses. Other than that, I am calling it done (as far as painting, glue, etc.).

Here are a couple shots, plus one of the driver so far...
(PS - I know these show I have a lot to learn still)

John, looking good! Nice and dirty!

So folks, since there are several builds I'd really like to see finished, I'll prolong this for another two weeks until 17 Feb, that's three more weekends to work. Hope that suits you all.

Cheers!
Stefan

Sorry for the poor quality on these pictures. They are more a "proof of life" effort to show I'm still working on this, and racing to finish in time. I have some detail painting and weathering yet to go. Hopefully will be done this weekend.

More to come later.

Okay, my track is done!! Driver is painted and in the track. Yea!

Just mounting it on a base (as shown in the following pics), to which I am going to add some scenic water in the depression around the tracks.

Okay, got the 'water' in. Took 3 sessions of "Realistic Water' then 2 of using gel medium to get a choppy effect from the track running thru. Snow on the ground here and 20 degrees so outside shots not happening (sorry).

Only thing I might add is some white 'highlights' in the water so try to show the choppy more.

Will post if I do. Otherwise, this is going in the gallery.

Thanks for watching and all your comments.

OK Guys, I'm calling this one done. I may add some storage and figures later. I put an old figure next to it just for the pictures. I learned a lot on this one as it was my first Dragon U.S. HT. Thanks to Dangeroo for hosting the campaign!

Nice one Guy and John! Glad you finished in time!

Andy, thanks for the compliment. I'm afraid I wasn't as up to date on this campaign as in earlier ones, but it was nevertheless a cool campaign. I have some more ideas (Japanese Campaign? Swiss Campaign? Halftracks II? Italian Campaign? ...) but it will be a while before I propose any of them. Soooo many kits, soooo little time...

So guys, this weekend is the final end date. Seing that there were only two more finished since the last extension I'm inclined to call it the final deadline. Of course if someone will finish within the next week I won't refuse him a ribbon. Hope a few more of you will finish in time!

I'll get working on the list of finishers next week and start on the feature.

Cheers!

Stefan, this is the second campaign you have hosted that I participated in. I have really enjoyed both, and thank you for putting in the time and work to host them.

Got it fixed up and got a couple of washes on. The door is supposed to be open but I keep knocking it off.

Cheers Rob.

Rob, gogogo!

You can still finish this one I hope. Will be getting those ribbons out next weekend, so you have until then to post your final pics in the gallery.

Thanks for y'all's participation!

Cheers!
