Thanks, I thought it would be fine but best to ask.
Here is what I am planning on building.
Cheers Rob.

Cool, Rob, that makes two of us. Though I won^t bother with all the PE...

Thinking of doing a Marine SPM, actually.
Cheers!

Hi all!
Only a few more days for this campaign to start! Amazing how time flies...
So I thought it's time to scrounge up a few ribbons for a vote.
The first two are simply a side view of a standard halftrack:
Ribbon 1:

Ribbon 2:

The other two are based on the track assembly as this is in my view the most recognizable feature of all US halftracks.
Ribbon 3:

Ribbon 4:

So please vote! Any other ideas welcome.
Cheers!
Stefan

I vote for ribbon #1 or 2 but if we can put the #2 vehicle on the #1 background I think it would look clearer

Just my $.02

I like no.2 just as it is.
Why does the title still say proposal?
Cheers Rob.

Ribbon two it is then! Unfortunately my skills are not good enough to change it to a white background, so unless anyone does the change for me it will just remain as is.
I guess the title change of the thread has been taken care of. Thanks (Gary?)!
So what version is everyone building? I guess I'll have to get the ominious chart going soon...

Cheers!

I think after much thought and research, I've finally decided which vehicle to build. I'm going with a KNIL M3A1 scout car used in the Dutch East Indies.

Phil, you are a brave man! With all that PE how much of the actual kit gets used? I can't wait to see your build.

In a few months there will be a small haze of Ambroid Cement hovering over Central Indiana.
So don't be alarmed kids, it's just me thrashing and welding plastic kits together!

So, we're almost there!
I'll be building an M3 GMC, though I'm not yet sure whether it will be as a Marine SPM or an Army TD. The only update I will do is a metal barrel from RB and maybe some scratch improvements. Really looking forward to this campaign! My start will be somewhat belated as I still have an aircraft carrier to finish first. Some mouth watering projects, most of which I also have in the stash...
Chris, good to see we'll have some scout cars!
Jeff and Sal, nice of you to take care of the artillery support.
Phil, you are a brave man! I was hoping someone would tackle that PE set.
Jon, welcome aboard!
Tony, AA, a must have! and welcome to the site! too bad DML has not (yet) released an M15...
Cheers everyone and get your knives ready for the first cut!
Cheers!

Ok Guys, I pulled my kit out of the stash yesterday and looked through it, lots of goodies in there
I will clean off the bench this afternoon and will be ready to start cutting, sanding and gluing by 0800 eastern time tomorrow morning with my 2nd cup of coffee
Now lets hope I have enough liquid cement left in my tube

apparently it is sold out at all the LHS some type of back order

I'm glad we don't have to take a picture of tomorrows newspaper for the start of this Campaign!
I gave up the morning paper long ago! (the bathroom thanks me too)
