Well I’ve begun to construct on my M3A1 around 1 this morning while waiting for my wife to get home from work. I plan to build this mostly straight from the box with the only aftermarket parts will be Verlinden’s radio set. I have the chassis and engine completed today and the only real let done is the lack of a radiator for the engine. Both kits from hobby boss have this important part missing from the kit. I’m still debating if I want to display the engine or not. Either way here is my progress so far.

Do I really need one more thing to do?

Okay, here's mine:
I didn't know this had an aluminum barrel? And some of their Panthers don't? Weird.
Oh well, now to get started!

Glad to everyone is off to a great start so far. Keep the builds coming.
Jeff Dragon is notorious for some kits having metal barrels and other do not. Some kits will even have DS tracks and some will have indy tracks. Good example being their early tiger kits with all the extra goodies that came with it and now the newer ones don’t seem to have any.
Here is just a small update so far. Manage to start some of the interior and have notice a lot of injector pin marks that need to be dealt with. I’ve also started to construct a base for a simple diorama for the model.
More to follow soon and have fun everyone.
Cheers

Ah now what would one of my campaigns be without the campaign chart... Don't worry, nothing fix here, just a useful tool to keep track who's enlisted and who's posted all the photos... Let's see if the resolution is good enough...
Cheers!

Hello Everyone.
I like Halftracks, in fact they occupy a goodly portion of my stash.
For this build I'd like to submit the following,
M-3 Scout Car by Zvezda in 1/35th scale, In my research I've read the main visible difference between the M3 and M3A1 is that the M3A1 had the ditching roller.
As this kit has the roller and at least one review that I have found calls the reboxing of this kit a M3A1, i'm assuming it is correctly a M3A1, and hope its allowed in this build.
This is a kit I've been wanting to build for several years now, but never had the excuse. A few years ago I received the decals from a reboxing and a PE fret for it. The photo etch directions are in Russian, so I have no idea who made it, so it will be interesting.
anyways here is the start photo.
thanks
Delbert

Hi Guys, I have made some progress on my M-4 and for those of you that are building a Dragon kit there are some things to be aware of
1st is the fan shroud that needs to be trimmed to fit over the fan or the radiator wouldn't fit into the slots provided
2nd is the front drums/tires, the nub that is used on theses needs to be positioned properly because the tires have a flat spot on the bottom
The tracks were easier then Magic Tracks but they have no real give so be carefull
This is what my kit looked like this morning body component are just dry fit on the chassis
