Phew, base painting done!...
Base dark green was mixed up from Tamiya greens, then the light green was masked and sprayed:

Then the black:

Masking removed. Still have to touch up a bit of overspray and then on to weathering! The colours are pretty bright but I anticipate them fading with the weathering steps.

Awesome!!!

Just out of interest, was anything damaged during the masking process? I', always fearful of sticking tape over etch parts.

Hey Rob,
Nope, nothing physically damaged; the only problem I had was some paint lifting off when I took off the tape (all Tamiya tape b.t.w.). That was most likely due to the fact I forgot to wash/clean off the resin before I painted. I forgot to add that I used the hairspray technique on the skirts to simulate the paint chipping off the rubber skirts.

Hi Jim,

This is a very nice job !

If I may say, I agree with your saying the colours are a bit bright :

A good weathering process will sort this out.

I remember I used for the light green a 50% X8 lemon yellow and 50% XF5 dark green, while the dark green itself was XF5.

Looking forward to seeing more ! Keep it up !
