I have a few sets, including ones that were released close to when your figures were. Overall I'd say they are pretty good; better than most injection molded figures (in my opinion) and they do a really good job with "animating" their figures. It's not just the same pose with the same gear, and the same head cast three or four times over. My sets also have much less flash and resulting cleanup than most of the figure sets I have from other manufacturers.

Just my observation, however. I do like them, and I based on your link, the price seems to be pretty fair, for a set that's a few years old.

Hey Joe,
Master Box figures have greatly improved and with a bit of clean up, some Hornet heads and you are ready to go. Nice detail, crisp work in the clothing but sometimes the heads aren't as good as they should be by this time.
The figures seem a bit more slender than, say, Dragon or MiniArt but still some really good kits out there. Bronco has some really nice British AFV crew figures, btw.

The newer releases are very good for plastic figures. Excellent faces, good definition, etc.

The older stuff had a bit of flash, not quite as crisp, but is still plenty serviceable. Much better than stuff from the 80's and 90's when I was modeling as a kid.

Hi

As others have said, they have improved their quality over time and their animation is good in their recent sets. This set is quite old, almost one of their first.

Here is a picture of it on a web site. You can also view another smaller image at Masterbox's site

Master Box figs are generally more imaginative and dynamically posed than, for instance, DML, but are less well detailed. More like older DML figs. But, as others have said, replace heads with Hornet, and substitute equipment with DML's, and maybe a little undercutting and engraving around collars, straps, etc. and you will end up with nice figs. BTW Master Box's East European civilian set are IMHO the best figure set released by that company.
