Some in-work shots of my Tamiya JSU-152. Built OOB, nothing extra. I'm using the Miniart dio base. Glossy right now since I just applied the decals.

more to come..

Thanks.

Nothing special on the shovel. Handle is painted with Tamiya XF-59 and the metal is painted with a custom mix of Tamiya XF-16 silver and XF-63 german grey.

I got the figures today and started assembly and arranging them. They are the Dragon Soviet Tank Riders and the Zvezda/Miniart Soviet Army on the March.

IMO the Dragon figures are much better defined. The Zvezda ones are soft in detail and more crude....but they were they only ones I could find in the poses I needed.

The base is the perfect size for the Animal Killer, everything is looking nicely balanced so far. I love that kit, it's one of my favorite so far

Figures for the JSU-152 vignette are painted.

First I had to do some work on the Miniart figures....

Here they are painted and "in place"....the two soldiers on the tank are Dragon Soviet tank riders with poses modified. The vehicle commander and gunner are the ones that come with the kit.

Painting figures is always a challenge for me.....my least favorite task.

Great work so far Jeff, the figures look great. Which Miniart kit is that? Can't wait to see it all done.

More progress:

The base is more involved with painting than the model itself....
