Hi all!smile

This is the Tamiya kit built straight from the box. I make optics and separate elements of a tower and the tank case. This model was painted in modulation style with Tamiya colors and weathered with Mig's filters, pigments and oils.

Some photos of the collected models …

.. in the process of painting …

… I decided to do it on a blue barrel, as in this picture. I think this will add originality.

Kirill,
I think you have done an outstanding job on the Challenger and I love the blue oil drum on the back.

David, thank you for the evaluation of the work. The idea came spontaneously from the barrel, but I hope it made my tank spanning more original.

I'm glad you think so. Although now I would probably dyed it a bit differently!

Thank you for such good words. I think you definitely will make a model that will look many times better than mine!

Thank you! Detailing is not my merit, the manufacturer has made a very good model. I only have completed it.

Thank you for your appreciation! But I think I still have to go! There are so many artists who can fill a lot to learn!

I agree completely... an absolutely stunning build and excellent paintwork! Never really wanted to build a Challenger until I saw yours.

As a matter of interest, what changes would you make for your next build? what parts do you think could be done better. I am really struggling to see where you could improve on this model.

Noel, frankly, I do not expect that this model will have such a concern. The box with the model lying on a shelf for almost 2 years .... but I gathered it in one breath for 10 days.
When you start collecting this model it is impossible to stop. But it is necessary to choose only from the Challenger firmy Tamiya. My brother collected from the Challenger 2 Trumpeter firm - and his emotions were not positive.

What would I change?
Well, first of all, I would have replaced the rubber tracks of a set of metal.
Secondly, I would have worked more closely with optics. I rewrote it, and on this model, but now I would have done it differently. In the end, she would look more realistic.

And the third ... I would add the crew.

Fantastic looking Chally Kirill! great detailing and finish. I hope to use your build as I try to do the same in 72nd scale. BTW the Sheridan is just awesome as well, another one to look at and do in braille scale! Looking forward to seeing more builds from you!

I always mees up my optics, and my figure painting leaves much to be desired so I alwaays do my models "buttoned up". As for tracks, it is now a default expense to buy some Fruils for almost everything!

Thanks for the tips re Tamiya. I am going to head to my LHS this weekend and see what they have.

The reference to Sheridan you have already, unfortunately I did not have time to respond promptly to your posbu. Very little free time ...

Thank you for appreciating my work Kerry!
I think that you will make a great challenger to 72 scale. At least exact paint will save you!

Yes, the optics on the models of modern technology, probably the part that attracts the most attention.
From the figures I have painted everything is not smooth - I'm still just learning. Here are my first figure. He did it for tank destroyer JSU-152 in the second world war.
