Well, I found them interesting, so ordered both sets from LuckyModels. Price was cheap enough, and they will probably be my last review for a while, as most of my modelling stuff is being packed up for my move to Florida after I retire in April.

Sometimes I wonder what goes through the minds of companies that release items like this. A set like this looks like they have had a student/trainee newly employeed and this was his first attempt ... and they release it to get what they can from those that are content to buy it. Just because its available, doesn´t always mean its worth buying. If I wanted a 2D snake or bat for the corner of a room, I could print it out or draw on stiff card instead. I could even do it on plastic card and add some volume with magic sculpt to get a better result. Any of the above options would give results similar to whats on offer if not better. Maybe we are missing something from the image shown, so it will be interesting to see Dave´s review.

My understanding of this set is that you use two pieces of pe to form each animal so for instance with the tortoise you shape each piece of the PE so that you get the shape convex shape and then glue together- the same with the crab.-That's how I would do it-maybe I'm way off the mark with that idea though
Can't see it working with the bat

this one will likely be released on April 1st LOL
i guess this isn't too funny as some companies produce kits that use flat PE Brass to represent round balls like on the Merkava.
okay, so it is easy to pick apart this offering but it makes me think what creatures could be offered in PE with some layering of parts to get a bit of dimension?
spiders
flying squirrels
roadkill gophers...
wow, this is hard. maybe just make a detail set for the new T-90

Check this out:

Looks like Voyager is following the big E. Personally I think the pre-colored items are the way to go but for things like birds I can't see a 2d item working all that well. For smaller things like bugs and fish (and a spider's web- that would be very cool for a jungle dio) I reckon these sets would be excellent.

Actually Eduard has a few of these small creature sets out too, but more expensive. Their one set has spiders, and spider webs.

Well guys
Pe animals don't convince me at all. I'd prefere to make byrds fishes, rats ,bats and (why not?) spiders with a bit of epoxy putty
Plants are maybe more useful, although I think that they are too "stiff" and too expensive.
I don't understand why Legend hasn't made them in resin
