Guys,
A bit further along on this lil vinette.
Comments welcome and I do still have some detailing yet to do on the BRDM. I just whipped up the base one night and wanted to see what the placements looked like.
Dave
And here are two figures, one of which will be with this BRDM:

I'm liiking what I'm seeing! Really nice camo pattern and excellent work on the tires. What are those yellow squiggles?
Do you have some more work to do on the flesh colors? They look a little off to me. The sahding on the clothes is very good.

Al,
Those yellow squigles are why I built and painted this. It was a picture found on a web site from one of our Special Forces (when he came home). There was some other pics of T-55's and T-62's with this "special" paint scheme.
As for the figures, ABSOLUTLEY! I need major work on them! I am taking them to Las Angeles for an AMPS meeting this weekend. Hopefully, some of the guys there can help me out.

All I can say is WOW!!
The base looks great, just enough to set the scene and not overwhem the viewer.
Can't wait to see the finished work.

No criticism cDave - but a question:
Are you using kit tires or Tiger Models' replacement set?
And
Why didn't you enlist in our Twilight:2000 Campaign?!?
Gunnie

Dave,
I like it...I can't wait to see it when it is complete. Oh, and good luck with the figures. I don't think you will have too much to do to them.

Hey Jim, I did not enlist in the Twilight campaign as this freekin idea came to me after several (and I do mean several) drinks of Tequilia. So it was a quick build (yeah, right) and paint job with a pic that I pulled from the net. As for the wheels, these are from Panzershop courtsey of CMD. Note familar with the Tiger ones.
Hey Venom, "Black" perhaps with the Soviets, but this pic came from a Special (ours) Forces pic shot only a few months ago. So it is 2003 and not the 80's!
Hey all, as I said, this is heading to the AMPS LA meeting on Saturday nite to see what others say and see if my figures can get some advice/assistance.
Later,
Dave
