Sorry to say, but the whole exercise is not worth it and has been shelved.
There is just too much need to be done to the base kit and that in turn would make my conversion well above what I would be prepared to pay as a modeller.
I also have no interest in bring out a "Shake and Bake" kit with a few additions. Not the way I work.
Kinetic is working on one, and I have been lead to believe that it will be a "2 in 1" kit. Dutch and Australian. From the CAD I have seen, it looks very nice.
So when they bring theirs out, I may look at this project again.

The update won't be ready for a while sorry. New information has come to hand that has made this task one very big undertaking.
All that I will say is that the wait will be well worth it. I hope!!

All right, update time!
Thanks for the comments guys and sorry for the late reply.
The Bushmaster is known as a great vehicle, but for the scratch builder, it is VERY GOOD!!! The suspension is the same front and rear, left and right. It makes it sooooo much easier to build the parts needed. It is that good in fact, that I even placed the brake calliper on the wrong side of the suspension, and it still fit (see the fist image)!!!!!
However the base kit, has quite a few accuracy issues. My updates will effectively fix most but not all of them. To fix all of the issues, I will need to make a whole new "V" bottom hull and at this stage it will not be cost effective to do that.
So here we are. The image below is the rear axle and suspension assembly, minus the brake actuator and air lines. To make make the front assembly, all one needs to do is replace one part with tie rods and linkages, swap out the rear cardan shafts (drive shaft) for front ones,and the job is done.
The wheels and rims are just about done as well.

Oliver- I checked mine compared to the corrected one and a picture of the real thing. Mine seem to sit at the correct height if I use the hubs compared to the bottom.
One thing I noticed is make sure you align the top shell of the body and the floor part when attaching the two. it is possible to push the floor too far up into the top part which makes the body sit a mm or so lower.

The bushmaster kit looks lowered without the suspensions update. Bad thing.
I don't understand because the master of the bushmaster model was correct !

Olivier- I was unaware that there was a clearance issue. Would you be able to explain it a little further? One thing I noticed when I test fit the hull onto the chassis it can sit too low if you are not careful.

Good thing I'm still struggling with my current build. I've got my Bushie sitting next to me waiting but I just knew you'd work some magic. I suppose it might be best to wait for a little bit longer to see what else you cook up in your lab.
