Finally the Komso project is finished!
I ended up with a relaxed scene with a few guys take a photo for people back home.
Some scratchbuilding was required to make the German figures Finnish. I was playing with the idea of making a black&white photo of the two posing guys that would be the exact photo this guy takes at this very moment. Perhaps the name of the dio could be written on the photo and attached to the base or something.
The only thing missing is the name for this scene. So if you have suggestions on that, shoot away!
Comments are welcome!
Cheers,
Toni

Toni,
I love everything you do! I feel like I should give you a little home-away-from-home somewhere on the site. Like "Envar's Corner".

Keep up the great work. What's next. I know you and you are always planning the next one.

BTW the dio really looks great. I like the bare headed guy, damn is he a ugly dude!
But then again, not everybody can be as handsome as I am.

Thanks Jim, that would be great...Just that I donīt have all the time Iīd like to have for building and hanging out @ armorama...
As far as the next projects go, Iīll throw in some effort in the Trench campaign. On the desktop there is also my UFO project "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" and then a factory shootout scene from "Cross of Iron" with Dragon figure set and a T-34-85 tank breaching through the brick wall...
I will write some article stuff if I can only keep that digicam avilable and take some progress pics.
Thanks,
Toni

Excellent modeling again.... another suberb diorama....
Jim is absolutely right about giving you your own corner out here .... How about Toni's Trenches or The Envar Experience or ToniTown.....
We still have some room left for a good modeler or two in the Remember Market Garden Campaign ..... maybe I can motivate you to join ?

I guess you meant the guy sitting on the vehicle...
The head is from a Hornet resin head set, I think itīs called "Heads with Polish m 1939 helmet" or something. These helmets were used in Finland with the basic Wehrmacht models through WW2. Iīm not exactly sure if they are identical but close enough!

Even without the accordiaon, this is way cool.

Nice to have a dio where everything come together, the story is simple and clear and the work is right on. Big congrats, Toni!

Muchos Dankos!
Al,
The concertina gave me so much headache that I had to drop it. And the same day I found this very cheap and bulky ICM figure pack with the cameraman...so here we are!
Not to mention that I have that playing figure in reserve for projects to come...

Danny,
Iīd really like to join but it wouldnīt make any difference even if you twisted my arm. Just canīt do everything. Besides the Trench campaign is about to begin and I have a thing for that, something I wanted to do for a long time...
And thanks for support and suggestions for the name. I just wonder what would be found inside Envarīs Corner... "Envarīs Thought of the Day?" "The Top100 chili recipes?" "Kitchen plastic: How-to?" "Modeller Marriage Mayhem?"

Toni... absolutely a wonderful neat little dio!! The figures are very nicely done as well as the T-20 and the gun!
Congratulations on finishing this little gem! You deserve a medal for just completing the T-20 alone!!!

Envar, I must repeat what Jim had said, "I love your dios". You have a knack for keeping them small in size while speaking volumes in content. Great job with an interesting subject vehicle.
Keep em coming!

Nice one Envar. Something along the lines of what we expect now! Great work on getting the Komsomoletsh finished. I see one in our Hobby shop in Stockholm and am even more tempted to buy it now. But I need a break from cheap kits that take ages trying to fill and fix. As a dio it is wonderful ......... nice little scene and comes across well! The figures are neat too, except maybe need some adjusting to sit properly. The guy sitting (tamiya russian tank crew??) his right hand does not touch the seat and also the other barehead guy ...... does his hand sit realistically on the T-20. Im actually impressed with the ICM figure ... it turned out quite well. Your ground work and base are first class as usual.
Overall a stunning little dio

its been a pleasure watching the dio grow and one that you should be really proud of. Excellent work.
