Do you intend to replicate all the upper hull in metal sheets like the fenders ?
Very nice job on the soldering. I think I'll follow your blog.

Great job so far!
Me too I think I'll follow this blog
I could seem a nitpicker but I notice that on the fender also Voyager has made the same mistake which Tamiya made
The rib on the fender actually is embossed it isn't raised
Anyway, that's really a minor flaw and of course it isn't your fault
That's an outstanding job indeed

Thanks Mauro
indeed,i notice that too.but it's hard to control the effect when i use a ballpoint to shape the.rib.maybe it'll look better after painted.BTW,there're quite a few mistakes in voyager's fender set.
a small one

Yes I think it would be quite hard to correct the ribs without damaging the fender
Considering that Voyager sets are on average quite expensive, is annoying that they have some inaccuracies
However I'm sure you'll do a great job
I'm waiting for your progresses
cheers

Impressive job
This is very inspiring for me.
I won't be easy at all and I probably won't secceed, but i'd like to reach this level of detail when I tackle my next T-55.
I think I'll try to scratch build all these details...I know, I'm crazy
Thanks indeed for sharing
ps. Just an observation. T-55 is my favourite tank so I have really A LOT of reference pics of it in my HD....
It's quite strange but I've never seen these handles at the base of the oil tank. Do you have perhaps a pic of the original part which has the handles?

Thanks a lot for the pic
Interesting I've never noticed them. What type of t-55 are you going to depict?
Russian Polish or Czech?
Maybe those handles are on the Polish exemplars
My projects are ALWAYS too compex...Anyway i said that I'll TRY i didn't say that I'll do
cheers

gentlemen,minor update here
i've finished the fuel tanks
you have to be very careful when drilling these holes, even minor mistakes will destroy these fragile parts
well the fenders haven't guled to the upper hull yet,so the pipes might look a little loose.
a question here, dose anyone have good ideas how to clean the flux and oil remained on the brass after soldering?i cant reach some small gaps, where flux remaining. i'm afrait it will be a problem when painting the area.
best

hi all
i've finished the build job, sorry for the big 'pause' of my updating, cos i've been quite busy these days..
well this is what i got now, many pics
I hope u like it.
after a month's build, this T55-A is finally finished.i can't imaging there're so many details on this medium tank, but i enjoy the process.the fanders and tool clips are still workable.i'll post more detail pics afterwards
By the way,i wanna paint a finnish、polish or czechic camo version, any good reference pictures guys?
