Hi Guys,
Been awhile since i did any work or updated so here is were I am currently at
As you can see I now have all the camo masked / painted
And now with all the tape removed & have started painting all the tools
As you can see still need to touch up a couple of repairs & and do a whole lot more, hopefully won't be so long between posts this time!!!
Please feel free to critique & advise likes & dislikes as is only way I will improve. The scheme is inspired by a side on colour plate in a concord book & then just added using photos of the same type of vechile from the unit.
Cheers Mike

What was that you used when painting the camo in the first pictures? Camo patterns always give me trouble and it looks like you've nailed it.

Hi Guy's,
@ Gary thank you for the kind words, I'm so old fashioned I am still using enamels, the green is just model masters panzer green mixed to a ratio of 70% thinners, 20% panzer green & 10% panzer interior buff,my thought was the interior buff would lighten the green but not in the same way straight white would??
@Conor I just used blu tac for the edging & then "filled" in between with tamiya masking tape so as not to need 10 tonnes of blu tac, I have just come apon a product called panzer putty which i am yet to use. It is meant to be totaly reusable as it absorbs the paint, can be strung as fine as spider webs & leave no reside like silly putty, or cling to parts like blu tac sometimes can.
Thanks for looking & the kind words keeps me chugging along
Cheers Mike

Blu tac. I'll have to get that, I got a Panther in the mail today and I'm sick of using tape and newspaper when I'm doing camo, so that should be very useful

Hey Gary,
The brand we get here is made by Bostik, but yes is the blue coloured type. It costs about $6-7 aussie per pack, but I have just brought a product called panzer putty made by a company called MXpression it is $20 aussie & is meant to be not only totaly reusable but able to be strung as thin as spider webs & not stick to parts & cause breakage like blu tack sometimes can.
Cheers Mike
