Hi Terry,
Most definitely interesting! Lionmarc models have had a Mk.III turret in their range for a while, but noboy has made the early bins yet so I say go for it! :-)
Perhaps also sell the bins separately for those of us who already have the LM turret.

Good stuff young man.
I enjoyed firing both 20Pdr and 105 Cent guns as a Junior Leader before going to the Far East and the regiment!

Terry,
How about some of the older, top opening hull bins, so we can convert the AFV Club offerings into a proper Mk III that served with the 8th Hussars in Korea?

Cool idea, I have some Cent Korea decals that wait to be used.
A Mk. III turret plus stowage bins are highly appreciated.
Thanks
Hans-Hermann

Would definitely be interested in the early top opening bins.
I want to model an 8 KRIH Cent as at the battle of Imjin river.
As far as I am aware All of their Cents were of the early type including the bins.
So in short - Yes Please!

They are the top loading bins. I have machined a blank out of brass, moulded it, cast two of them and I'm now putting the detail on.
Won't be long.

Will Castoff market the sets?
I would be interested in the bins especially and possibly the turret.
I think Cromwell Models has released those bins, but availability might be a problem, so your set will be most welcome.
Cheers,
Christophe

Terry, I just did a google search and realized you were the owner of Castoff...
Incidently I was planning an order with two or three Castoff items (birthday coming up) but I'll wait for the Centurion bits to be available first.
Cheers,
Christophe
PS : I still have in my stash some Castoff items bought many years ago, Challenger and Chieftain stuff, great to see you're still releasing conversions and update sets.

Terry,
Great news. I reread you original post and noticed that you did mention the bins there. Can't wait for the conversion as I am currently reading about the Battle of the Imjin River an dspent a couple years driving through the Choksong, 5 Yankee, Hwy 11 area when I was stationed in Korea about 14 years ago. Hell of a fight.
Are your plans to sell the conversion via your site?

Thanks guys, yes they will be released through castoff. It's good to be back (with a vengence) got rid of the old wife who wanted me to get a "proper job", hence the absence and got someone who is supporting what I do. So any ideas as to what you would like Castoff to bring out let me know.

Terry,
Great to see you're producing some post/Cold War Brit stuff; having just had great fun with the Tamiya Chieftain I'm looking forward to some of your products to facilitate the later versions. I might also have a stab at the CVR(T) mods you also do.
Asking for what we modellers would like to see will, I am sure, prompt a deluge of replies; this is one for some serious thought!
Keep up the good work.
Brian

Conversions to do a Centurion BARV and a Centurion AVRE would be nice! Not talking about an ARV because it's more complicated.

The AVRE has been mentioned and it does look the part with the gulf fit but would there be a call for the BARV? I had a look at it the other day but thought it would not be a big hit.
The bins for the mkIII are finished and the barrels have been ordered, if anyone wants the turret and bins without the barrel let me know.

Hi Terry,
First, congrats on your new significant other!
Second, thanks very much for engaging fellow modellers about what we would like to see as far as conversions.
My picks....
Centurion AVRE 165mm...this would be a great conversion for an AFV Club Centurion kit...from the Cold War to the Gulf War the AVRE looked great!
Centurion Mk.12H AVRE 105 mm...a mean looking Engineer variant especially with a Pearson Mine Plow!
Centurion BARV....for sure! This is a very unique variant and they served during the Falklands War and during both Gulf conflicts

Hi,
what about the early Pearson TWMP as fitted in Cold War to 105mm AVRE and 165mm AVRE or in Gulf War I? There was a kit made by Scientific Armour, but only a few were made and then the company disappeared from market. Would be a nice addition to an AVRE or AVLB, also a Chieftain interim AVRE.
Or what about a 105mm AVRE conversion?
Just a suggestion!
Andreas
