Just finished my DML/Dragon T-72 w/ERA. Nothing fancy, built OOB....

Nice kit and a pleasurable build. Shame there isn't more info on the kit out there especially since it's been around for over 20 years.

Thanks Dave.

I get the feeling this kit is the bastard, red-headed step-child of the armor modeling world.

Oh well, I had fun building it.

I don't know much about this kit, but you deserve to be complemented, for the nice job you did.

Although I have heard on many forums that the kit itself is not very accurate, I think you have done a very nice job on it.

I really like your technique on the weathering and was wondering if you used the 'hairspray' technique on the front skirts especially.

Really nice job!

Cheers,

John

Thanks John.

Weathering was 'old school'

I used an oil filter/wash once the main colors were applied. Chipping was done with a fine brush and make-up sponge (actually foam from some RC equipment padding since it's the same stuff and I have lots of that since I fly RC too). I used Tamiya XF-66 for the chipping effect.

Finally I used various colors of pastel sticks shaved into powder and applied with a brush.

No hairspray technique.....sorry...

cheers,

Jeff
