Howdy gang...finally finished this sucker.... I think.....

This is my Bison II for the Under the Sun build... It is the Alan kit with Friul tracks, Eduard etch set, and Jordi Rubio barrel and gun cradle. I wired the radio, and gave the commander a spare headset from a Tamiya kit. I also used stencils for the lettering on the shells - I think that looks pretty cool. This thing was a bugger - as I'm sure most of you know my feelings on that by now.... LOL I think I'm done - depending upon what you "eagle eyed" friends spot that I have overlooked. I took these pictures using artificial light - I really don't like to do it that way - but it is dark where I live now... so I guess I'll have to make do for now

I am seeking comments and suggestions - do I need some more pastels? I've looked at this blasted thing for too long.......The rest of the pictures can be seen in my gallery...... here: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/photos/showgallery.php?cat=12129&ppuser=694&password=&page=2

Very nice jrnelson, I really like the weathering and all the pe details. Alan Kits are a pain( just finished a Panzer 2 ausf c) but can be turned into great looking kits with a little or in some cases alot of patience. I read about all your trials and tribulations while working on this kit. You may have lost a battle or two along the way but definitly won the war.

Very nice! I like that. I am a little curious about Alan kits, are they pretty good?

Thanks guys....

Wildcat .... very good eyes my friend. The machine gun IS bent ever so slightly.. Thanks for pointing that out - I had never noticed that. (Good thing it's brass - I just bent her back into shape before typing this). That is why this site is sooooo great - I would never have seen that to fix it.

The PzKpfw IV is "on deck" - gotta wait til Nov. 1st to start her though :-)

Chip - check out my thread in the Armor forum titled "Bison II rant - struggle to the death" for your answer.... hehe

Looks awsome to me... I have the Alan Grille M on the shelf.. I was looking forward to that in the future.. Are all Alan Kit's bears?

I read a review on the Grille and heard it was a difficult model to build as well... lots of flash tons of ejector pin marks yadda yadda yadda

Lord Jeff,

This is a very well built, painted, weathered model. If not for kept up with your saga, I can't even tell the headache it gave you.

Great work.

Great work so far, even the detail on the radio is excellent.

I saw the bent MG as did Wildcat. It really only showed in the 1st pic. Now that you corrected it, she looks like a winner! Congrats on the perseverance.
