I guess it's safe to assume that all this "hoop la" dosen't apply to my 1/25 Centurion...

Hi again Folks,

I've posted two photo's in my gallery of the Aussie Mk V Centurion: for you to view.

I hope this sorts out the confusion with between the 'Legends' conversion with the Aussie Mk V Centurion, or the British Mk V version, as my conversion includes the dozer blade, [the option of the searchlight is a few months away]. I've supplied two photographs of my conversion of the Aussie Vietnam version, for you, with the detail of the searchlight housing and brackets.

I hope I've helped in some small way with the comparision of the two conversions.

Regards
Rob

hi all

Centurion. plastic is comming by the firm mentioned. i supplied all the infomation & took there pattern maker to view all marks of Centurion tank. he also visted other countries.
his drawing tied up with my actual measurements also the ones he took off the real vehicles.

Australian Centrion. if you look for a web site called Black beret. you will see a CD for sale. this is the story of all the Australian tanks & heaps & i mean heaps of pictures as referance.the web site is good for Nam info as well.

of what i have seen of Legends kit they have problems with the turrets i have told them at Euro they said they would contact me still waiting..
the mk 5 does not slope at the rear but is actual dead flat.
legend have tried to build a turret to scale. about time besides Accurate Armours & the Tamiya's 1/25.
but the 1/35 Tamiya/modalcraft hull is so wrong that the turret catches the drivers hatches.

the best to scale kits are Tamiya 1/25 2mm to short between 2& 3 road wheel
Acurate Armours engine/gearbox decks slightly to narrow.

worst out of scale Centurion that i have seen & built is the Legends Puma. it builds into a nice kit.

i now scratch build my hulls use either AA or make my own turrets. use AA suspension & resin road wheels ( metal ones far to big),sprockets. Flui track only because i supplied the measurements oh yes the Centurion on the Box one of my pictures Mk 12 OP at Duxford.

i love Centurions. matter of fact i opened up a Centurion Bridgelayer that is a outside display vehicle in a museum today which had been there since 1980 in the UK it is Mint inside prospect of a restoration is very good. it is so good in side that the new drivers seats etc are still as new.

any body wants Centurion information contact me after the 28/02/2004 and be warned i do send large zipped emails.

There is also a couple of pics.
