Looks really good Marc. The paint job is realistic for an operational tank, just the good amount of rust points, paint chips and so on.
The only thing that bothers me in the diorama is with all the hatches closed, how has the crew member exited the tank to surrender?
I know the turret is empty but you could let at least one hatch open.

Just my 2 cents

Hi Marc,

Just thought I'd drop you a quick note to say well done the finished kit looks fantastic. I love the minor conversion on the figure!

I used some Plastruc angle strips to make the rail on the rear deck

Could you tell me what size of angle strip they were as I am going to do a T-55a in the not too distant future and I'd love to know if you an remember anyway!

Thanks Paul

Thanks so much Olivier. I agree with you about the hatches. The whole thing started with just the tank. Then I figured this one just was begging for a base. Then when I saw the Iraqi with the binos... well... you see what happened. Too late for the hatches.

So I have made up my own back story. Being disillusioned with the regime, the tank commander took off with the tank on his own with the intention of asking asylum and giving the tank to the Americans. He set out alone at night to the frontier and waited. He was worried about a sand storm so he closed the hatches and pitched a tent that is just outside the view of the scene.

Paul thanks. That’s Plastruct #90501, 3/64”/1.2mm angle.
