I bought a bunch of StuG stuff, it may not be 100% accurate but it'll be what I like.
BTW, I used Ambroid cement to repair my ice maker the other day after I found out that the part cost $80.00 to replace! A few passes with the brush, reinforced with some spare styrene and it's stronger than new!
Too bad I couldn't do that for the range and dishwasher! There goes $1200.00 REAL fast!

Hi Guys,
Well here is my Stug IV for the build, I will also be using the transmisson out of the vintage verlinden mark 4 interior & the aber barrel. I am also wanting to get an atak zimmert set & possibly an aber etch so can replace the front fenders, does anyone know were I can source the atak or cavalier zimmert from as no one here in Aussie has it
Cheers Mike

Mike,
The AchtungPanzer SHOP on ebay (based in Poland) has the Atak set for your StuG.
Looking forward to your build. I'm still debating which kit I will enter into this campaign but I'm leaning towards the Dragon StuG IV early with the preformed zimmerit.
Cheers,
Nate

That's good to know!
We can always do a second build, Paul! Instead of a side-by-side like I wanted to do (space is very tight right now with all my 1/16th stuff) I hope to do a second StuG after the main selection is finished. Or at least while the paint is drying.
I have a Monogram StuG IV with the battle damage and rust colored tracks and a StuG III Ausf. E to choose from. Probably the E with those Winterketten tracks. They'll look HAWT on it, better than the F I'm stealing them from!

I built a StuG IV by Tamiya a few years ago, it wasn't terrible. But I wasn't too great and the kit wasn't too great. I think the StuG IV deserves a second chance

Hi Jeff,
my second StuG is going over to the D-Day Campaign,
and as you said there´s still the APC/AFV, Modelling a foto 2, Tank Destroyer, Big Cats 2, and Cold war campaigns that most of us have to deal with.
By the way, I tried desperatly today to get my Merkava IV
of the bench, by using the Bronco tracks. ( )
Don´t try it, I must be some kind of sadist, because
I torture myself time again with these bloody plastic tracks.
I´ve just ordered a set from Friul. a bit pricey but that´s the way it goes.
It´s a shame that not all companys don´t just use Dragons magic tracks, at least they go together well.
Paul
oh congrats on becoming a "Staffer"

I learned the hard way on the Bronco tracks and should have heeded the words of wisdom and warning from a fellow member here.
It was great at first, but I soon realized it was too time consuming and they tend to un-hook while attaching more links.
Metal might be the way as I have never done the Magic Tracks. Are they much better?
And thanks Paul about the position. I'll try to do good and give back to what I have always thought of as a Hobby Haven for modelers right here on ARMORAMA.

Personally, I've made it a goal to avoid magic tracks as much as I can. But that's just me, I haven't got that kind of patience
They do look good though
