Hi Augusto,

A really cracking project. The T34 is looking excellent and I like the concept very much. Mortar team are looking good too and this should make a very active and interesting dio.

Excellent stuff.

Al

thanks

Dear Augusto,
What a technically perfect paint job on that T34.
However, do keep in mind that this tank might not have been that old. The picture shows a lot of sand and dust on this war machine, more likely from the bombing and/or shelling. Rust, even considering the quality of Russian war paints, is less likely since it takes some time to occur.
Nevertheless: I am curious about your dio,
Success!

Perhaps you're right, maybe not I'm just having fun
Perhaps excesses are only a kind of artistic taste.
Remember that it is just a hobby something to relax
You have a strange nickname

Hi augusto,

You are absolutely right, the worn look add a lot to the scene, suggesting the struggle takes place here since months, if not years... It might b e not perfectly historical, but could be very emotional. I like it very much! Also good job on the mortar team.

Jerry's point is good, I would suggest to turn the bomb in the gunner's hand, as it seems he will drop it into the tube upside-down, and in this case the crater would be filled with a lot of flesh...

I'm really looking for the groundwork also.

Cheers,
Istvan

Thanks, i will change the position of mortar team and try a will do an good work ciao Augusto

Then i use papier-mache

By cestus72 at 2012-05-09

By cestus72 at 2012-05-09

By cestus72 at 2012-05-09
With papier-mache still fresh i prepare a different mix of colored earth and put its up the base.

By cestus72 at 2012-05-09

By cestus72 at 2012-05-09

Augusto: Overall I think your dio looks great and is progressing nicely. My only comment is the tank seems like it wouldn't hold its position but might tip down the hill. Could be hard to tell from the photos, but the "balance point" seems too far to the right side of the tank.

Perhaps you mean the TV stand swivels?
I use that to paint tanks with airbrush

Your figures are looking good! I like the attention to detail on the equipment, for example, the chain on the mortar bipod.
It may be the lighting, but is the German uniform a little too green?
