Looks nice! I think I'm going to buy one just for the plastic ball and chain setup

Really nice detail.
Now the ball and chain, hmmmm. It looks ok I guess, but I don't think the overall look will satisfy me, they are so straight and perfect. I will have to see it built to give a better educated opinion.
cheers

I like the ball and chain. Sure, it's pretty regular but some hot water/blow dryer and a few minutes will help that and it is much easier than building them from chain, ball halves, and attaching them. Personally, I've always felt that the majority of ones I've seen put together (including my own!) just looked sloppy. For those skilled enough to do better, it will be an easy fix to do for them and replace with actual chain.

And I just ordered mine from Lucky Model...which showed in stock, and I ordered the new AFC Club 'Laser Glass' simulated stickers for my M1A1 Abrams clear parts, too.
This Meng kit looks pretty good, from the photos and comments posted. I have the Hobby Boss Merkava IV, which has been just torn apart by so many regarding its inaccuracies, but I've decided I'm building that one as is, no mods (e.g. for the roadwheel locations), except for all the Eduard PE and the Friulmodel tracks. That kit has too many good details to not appreciate its virtues. That said, this Meng Merkava III ought not have any such issues, given its pedigree. So now, I'll have 2 IDF tanks! And maybe that'll be just the beginning!
