Greetings from Raleigh!

I have a pretty intense build going on with Dragon's M-16 (You can check it out here: http://armorama.com/forums/187081#1564659 ) It has really turned into a monster! I travel a couple nights a month and on my last two trips I took a simple kit, a limited tool box (sprue cutters, Xacto, Emery boards, a file, a couple sanding sticks and some Tamiya thin) Built the kits straight out o' the box in a few hours, then painted, decaled and weathered when I got home. It was quite a contrast to my other build and very liberating!! Thought I'd post a few pics of how they turned out

I'd highly recommend it as therapy to combat the meticulousness we often find ourselves buried in, The M5 was in my stash and the Pz II cost less than $8 at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon.

Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Terry

Terry;

WAY TO GO! Looks like you are having good old-fashioned fun and getting some builds done without our sometimes overly-involved OCD-ish effort! I love it!

I'm a believer in the traveling kit and hotel-builds... OK, in the concept of same, anyway! Been doing this on biz trips for the last couple years myself - great fun and a fine way to fill an otherwise boring nite away from the fam and home. Difference is, I never make more than minor progress, but maybe this is because I have insisted on working on my more-typical involved build, instead of doing a straight OOTB type of thing! Still - get track links cleaned, wheels done, etc.

I'm heading out for a 3-niter TUES... maybe this time I'll take a simpler kit, knife, sander, and cement and try to get it done! Hmmmm. Now what's in the stash... choices choices choices!

Great stuff and THANKS for sharing this little inspirational post!

Terry,
Yeah, thanks for sharing your experience and these builds. A nice diversion for you, and they turned out well!
