I can't find any of these in the US.
Also why are they so expensive?

They are good kits, but only a single distributor in North America, so no competition, allows distributor to control price.

The US distributer for Tasca is pacific coast models, or pacmodels.com. Just about all sellers in the US charge around the same because the owner of pacmodels prohibits anyone from selling the kits they get from him under his set price. The kits are made in Japan, not in china or Taiwan, which might have something to do with pricing

Unfortunately the DS tracks you posted ate no longer in production, according to my research. You might be able to find some in ebay. I think AFV Club sellers one piece tracks for M4A4- I recall seeing them
On spruebrothers.com a few years back . You might also want to look into a metal jig, like ones from hobbytrackz

Nick,

I just saw a Tasca Firefly V at AAA Hobby Supply in Marrietta, GA last Thursday evening. I didn't look at the price, though. They also had some AFV Club track sets, too.

You could try giving them a call at (770) 973-5666.

I hope this helps.

Not sure if this is the one you're looking for, but I've got one in my sale thread.

I've been out of the modeling loop for a bit and I was shocked to see the jump myself.

Well there you go Nick. $40 is a very reasonable cost.

Ok, if you plan on doing a DML VC then I'd suggest you seek out the Cyber Hobby Orange Box version of the VC which comes with one piece DS T 48 tracks avoiding the need for a seperate purchase. It is probably the best DML release of the VC but the Tasca is still far superior.

But i believe The only M4 Firefly that brings the one peace tracks is the IC hybrid hull version.
It looks nice but I really prefer the Vc's welded angular hull shape.

You are right, they include them with the M4A4 but for some bizarre reason they don't on this one. If that is the case $40 for a Tasca VC is money well spent. You can build a great kit out of the box and don't need AM stuff. It also has good easy tracks.
