I found this item in ebay a while ago. It's a Panzer III Ausf.J control tank w/ Borgward Ausf.B from dragon. It sells for, be ready.....$ 1.25!!!!!. Very...I mean too cheap for a 1/35 tank. But I don't know anything about this kit. I don't know if its quality is good or anything.

Yeah but its got 5 days left and reserve not yet met. So He prolly wants alot more for it. for instance if you set reserver at 100 and start it at 50 if it gets to say 80 the seller can choose to sell it or not.

Well, I was thinking about bidding but I came back to my senses & remembered that I don't have a bank account or credit card, plus I am still planning on a dio for my Panzer IV so I don't have the time to build a new one. Fell free to take it w/o any competition from me at least. It's the best deal you can find so far.

Your assumption that its final price will be $1.25 isn't correct, Fritz. As eBay works, the seller just listed a very low beginning price ($0.01!!) to attract attention. Most of the bidding will occur on the last day, even the last minutes.

I listed a magazine for $8 and it stayed at that price until the final day when several interested bidders ended up pushing it to $56, most of which occurred during the last seconds of the auction.

That's just how ebay works. I'd say that this auction will probably finish in the $18-25 range.

I call that last second thing sniping, and I do it well. Thinking about picking up a dragon M-46, just wait until the last seconds to bid on a cheap one

Also if there's one thing I have learned about watching an item you're interested in on ebay....it's....NEVER let others know who might want it more than you!!!!
If you were interested in it and planned on bidding on it at the last minute....you have just alerted hundreds of other potential bidders of it's whereabouts...not a good plan for getting that great deal.
Plus I agree with the others......his reserve is probably well over the $1.25 it's sitting at right now...never count your chickens before they are hatched with ebay.

I checked out a couple (actually 5 to 6 pages of worth) of items that dude is listing for the models, and the price he is asking for (Buy Now Price) is equal or more than some retail, so I guess, he probably won't let the Pz III go for at least 35 bucks.

Sometimes it pays to follow the links. If one looks at this sellers other items, virtually all is currently available from other sources (GreatModels, VLS etc.) His prices are somewhat on the 'imaginative' side as well, I estimate 10-15% above normal U.S. prices. If you think that you get bargains on E-Bay nowadays.think again. You may get what you've been searching for and pay a reasonable price for it, but you are not gonna get a Dragon Pz.III for $1.25, $40-50 is my best guess, with a reserve of around $35 (plus postage). E-bay is useful, very useful but it gets very silly sometimes....Jim

I think that the reserve will be over $25. That said, my delema is to add another German tank to teh collection or keep the hobby money (PayPal) aside.......

Take a look at the payment details as well.... This guy looks like some kind of lawyer... He also adds at the end that he's an IPMS member, what the last item has to do with the price of fish, I'm not entirely sure. Look at his other items, he probably has various members of his family on sale as well..... Jim

Hmmm...you know for $25 you could help support THIS site.

And do it with PayPal.

Just a thought
