Jose, I did 3 Panthers last year, while doing the wheels & suspension, I came across some issues.

The Dragon instructions were a mess.. but I only added the wheels to the suspension arms after painting them, those rubber rims were easier to paint. But you might dryfit them to get the tracks in place too.. some of the guys have worked that technique perfectly ( check the Marder Madness Campaign, page 4/5 Gary did an outstanding job !!)

Well I'm looking forward to see it painted !

Jon, I'm glad it helped !!

Well progress has been a bit slow since I have multiple projects going on at the same time. The crane boom is almost done minus adding the cable rigging which I won’t do until I have the boom set at the angle I’m looking for. I’ve finished the small tool box on the boom and made the slave cables for the engine packs from silver solider. The straps for the cables were made from masking tape and the canvas cover for the cannon plugs was made from tin foil. Another item I’ve started working on is the storage bin on the engine deck most seen on Taurus. This is made from sheet plastic and strips and need to sand smooth once dried. I plan to add some gear inside at a latter time.

Here's my update, it's been a little slow I admit..

So far the turret is done & primed. So I worked on the hull, adding details, equipment, Zimmerit, still a lot of work to be done before priming the cat.

Still missing, some cables, the jack, engine screens, some Zimm. Also the base for the front light is MIA .. some scratch needed. Back to the bench! Stay tuned guys !

@Jon

I'm glad it helped ! That's gonna be a sweet Leo !

@Christopher

I understand you perfectly... multiple builds .. that's good we never get bored with a build, the bench is always full !
Your project is coming along great !!

Here are some progress shots of my Jagd. Panther. I was going to use the kit's plastic barrel but upon further investigation saw that the shape of it was quite oval. Found a metal barrel laying about. Stuck it on with some careful manipulation and gorilla glue. Still learning how to install tracks, found some glaring mishaps. Going to try and camouflage them if possible.

@Trevor

I really like those tracks. So far it looks great !

@Greg

Those resin covers that came with the ATAK Zimm give a different look, I like it too.

After those photos I primed it. Just missied the thin cable on the side. I will work on that and the wheels this week.
After building this Tiger, I believe the AFV Club is an amazing kit !

Here is a small update, I’ve completed all the suspension comments and return rollers. I’ve also got the crane boom set at the angle I want needed to figure out a way to mount it so I can remove it for painting. One small problem I ran into was the mounting pins for the road wheels are too long, easy fix with some cutting.

Here is my entry for the big cat MkII campaign if this fits in the credentials of the campaign. If not, oh well....

This is a 1/35 scale tamiya panther tank. painted and weathered. I have no progress pictures, as I have not enough room on my photograph profile to add the progess shots. will have to use an external one in the future

thanks for looking

Noticed that this was open to aircraft too. Here is a quick build of a F4F Wildcat in 1/72 from Hobbyboss, painted accurately for the USN, 1942.

I airbrushed the gloss gull gray (Testors MM Enamel) undercoat last weekend after giving the canopy a quick shot of interior green so the inside color is correct... and am giving it plenty of time to sit and cure before I add the blue on the top side.

Question for the campaign leader. I have a Panther I've been working on. I only started the build this month but I did open the box, dry fit and drill out the exhausts in November but work and another campaign swamped it off my desk. I've been posting the build on constructive criticism under "crude zimmerit". Can I enlist with this cat?

Got a start on thinning out the Verlinden Zimmerit.
The pic is a little rough but it is notably thinner.

Cheers Rob.
