Famo gear looks great thanks for the heads up
Bill, I want to clarify that the term "FAMO" isn't really accurate even for the 18-ton Sd.Kfz.9 that usually bears that name among modelers.
Tamiya likes to use the
Patentfirma name on its kits (Hannomag, for example, with their Sd.Kfz. 251 kit), and did so with the Sd.Kfz.9. That vehicle WAS designed by Fahrzeug- und Motorenbau GmbH (FAMO) of Breslau, but was also made by other companies, including the Czech firm of Tatra.
In this case, Black Dog is saying the resin is for
the Sd.Kfz.8 variant that Trumpeter has announced (though Black Dog is showing the items on a Trumpeter Sd.Kfz.7 kit if I'm not mistaken).
I guess that answers my question above whether these items would work on a Seven!
All of that's a long-winded way of saying that using "FAMO" to refer to any Wehrmacht halftrack isn't really accurate.
