Slaphead, wonderful job there. The weathering is great. Are their uniforms supposed to be that blue? Forgive me if they are - I don't know enough about Russian uniforms. I love the added appliqué turret armor. Scratched?

Excellent dio Slappy!! but I think by 1945 there weren,t many blue uniforms left (more beginning of the conflict.)..I'd go more with good old Khaki uniforms just to be sure...wouldn't want to lose on a technicality now would you..?

Lovely dio Alasdair. The whole presentation is first class. The addition of the extra barrells on the back are the highlights for me. It makes your Stalin more individual. Even the rubbish barrells laying to the side are excellent. Its the individual touches like this that make a dio for me .. the chains, the marking poles and even the numbers on the pillar. Great layout and composition. I hope it does well for you in Telford!

They are very kind comments...the chain is AA...its copper so blackens very well under heat...it is the covered with MMP weathering powders that have been mixed with meths...left to dry and rubbed off with a stiff brush and then in a soft foam block

Ah! I have to apologise - I dont know how I have missed the updated shots of this beastie! Alasdair you have completed another fantastic vehicle here. The 2 images in your galery 13 & 14 showing the js from front and back show the level of detail in the painting that has gone into this - excellent. :-)

..and those tracks look very good (pic 10) - would they be finished as I was shown at Euro - I hope so as I want to try this out myself! I am also impressed with the photo showing the gatepost and the flowers, this is one of these pictures that no matter how often you look you still see more detail and get another "now how did he do that?"

I know you will probably want to display this rather than put it in the comp at the nationals - but I would stick it in anyway and let people see it!

Your best work yet.

Yep ...the Tracks are done with the 'new, 'TRAX-COAT'...Dont know if it will be ready for sale at Telford but it will be by T&T in the new year...sorting health'n'safe stuff...should be fine

(I will bring some demo stuff for you so come over..the BTT could do with it...it needs to be well finnished !! he he)

Still not sure if I should enter it..it might be up against some of your stuff so would be slaugtered !!

Alasdair,

Get that 'TRAX-COAT' ready for the nationals as I know a few of our guys were very interested at euro. And dont worry about me entering anything at the nationals - I have nothing finished - especially that blo*dy sherman. I can see me painting it purple at this rate!
