Hi Guys,

I am wondering if anyone can please help me I am looking for photos of the above Churchill III Avre but they can only be from D-day up t D+3, everything I have found is either later or on the Churchill IV Avre.

I would be very grateful of any help

Cheers Mike

Mike,

Apparently they are hard to come by. See this thread:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/136598

The picture with the column of AVREs is from August 7th.

If you are thinking of joining the D-Day campaign, AFV Club has markings for two D-Day mark III, so I'm sure they were present.

Mike,

I found it! Now I just need to find the pic on the web. The name of the Tank is 'Loch Ness'. It was knocked out on Gold Beach and the AFV kit has the markings. I was a fascine tank if your feeling really ambitious. My pic is in Cracking Hitler's Atlantic Wall by Richard C. Anderson Jr. It includes a report from one of the tanks crew members.
