Darren
Great photos. Until you see this beast in the flesh it is very hard to get a full appreciation how BIG it is. I have a photo taken some years ago of my two sons, then aged six and eight, standing beside this tank, and they didn't even reach the top of the roadwheels!
I believe this was one of the first production vehicles, wasn't it ? I notice it doesn't have the fuel tank vent pipes present on later versions.
Regards
Rob

When the KT was at the Patton Museum, walking around it one could only think in awe of it's mighty size... as big as a house is not an over exaggeration either.
I cannot imagine being an Allied soldier in WWII time seeing these in battle.
Nice walkaround Darren.

The tracks sure look in good condition -- ie, not too much rust coloration. Is this due to it being indoors (I would think humidity would still affect it) or do they maintain them that well/frequently?
I had read someplace that German tracks were made from a high quality alloy that was more rust-resistant than others.

Chris due to the fact the roof leaks in places I would guess it is rust resistant.

If you have the time take a look at the walk around section of Armorama as you will find a pretty good selection.
