Hey guys this is my first Matilda MkII tank :
The kit is the beautiful Milicast 1/76 Matilda Mk.IIA (North African version)with Aleran decals.
I am trying to use the Caunter colour scheme and would like to show Desert Rats makings, however i can't seem to find any pictures of this .
Can anyone help me please with reference pics or links to such vehicles? Or just give me a point in the right direction?
Many thanks
Dan

Hi Daniel
Several walkarounds of Matilda IIs in "Caunter scheme" are available online (like this one thanks to Alan Mc Neilly), but the colors accuracy appears to be questionable :

Here's a useful article from the MAFVA website that should help with what colors to use :

Here's a period picture of "Glenor" which belonged to the 7th Royal Tank Regiment, on its way into Tobruk, displaying an Italian flag, 24 January 1941 :

Hi Daniel,
If you're after colour and marking guidance rather than exact photographic evidence you could look over on Armoured Acorn for examples.
eg: http://www.armouredacorn.com/Refs-%20Thumbprints%20&%20Images/NCVM/NCVM%20Part%2025%20%28Early%20Desert%29.pdf (botton of page 3)

Thanks very much Frenchy and Ken they help a lot, especially the armoured acorn site which should be very useful for many tanks more than just this!
