It has been nearly 3 years and my M1 still no where near completion. Comments welcome.
This is the ONE in flesh or rather in Steel

Looking great so far Mukund! You really should finish her!
A tip to get more views/postings: I believe more people would have taken a look at the thread if you had included the actual topic (Abrams) in the title. M1s usually gather quite a few posts, especially if they look as good as yours!
Cheers!
Stefan

That's a great looking Abrams, Mukund.
You're almost done. Keep at it, and add a tank commander!

Hey Mukund, one thing I have learned about modeling and life in general; you'll get done when your done. Not a moment sooner, not a moment later. I have a dio I have been working on for 15 years myself, so it will get done..... Your M-! looks real nice, like the paint job.

Mukund, this is looking nice. I see you even got the 120mm mortar ammo can to put on the jerrycan rack. Don't forget to add the many MRE boxes to the extended bustle rack. Your sideskirt is missing the chevron but maybe you are not done yet with your decals.
You might want to try and paint the gun barrel green where it meets the gun mantlet. You can see that in the photo from the Echelon sheet.
Keep it up.
Bob

Looks nice. The straps securing the stowage should be the same color(s) as the stowage. Should the stowage be green? I believe that the military provided covers and new packs, when the tanks were painted desert sand.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and the heads up.
Jim, I will do my best to complete this with a commander. The book actually has a picture of Him..
Bob, Thanks for the encouragement..
Marco, Yes, the preshade was done using matt black. I use Mr.color.
Hi Robert, Thanks for the heads up. Will look into those missing bits
Hi Matt, Yah. That was my attempt to give a wash to those stoage bags. Will correct those and blend them in. Thanks again for the feedback.
Have a Great Day

Hi Mukund
You only have ONE never ending model Looks really nice, and I think a bit of paint chops and weathering would do the trick.
Best regards
Jacob
