Nice Lee CDL. I don't have a donor kit for the Lee but a Matilda CDL would be nice some time.

Thanks, glad you're enjoying the build. Nice simple conversion, but you need a good razor saw for the base removal.

Hi Steph,
The Grant CDL was first used in NWE during the Rhine Crossing. 24 were brought back into service and issued to B Squadron 49 APC Regt. Originally there were 3 CDL Regiments that landed in Normandy in August 44. Of those brought back into service, 12 were deployed in a diversionary fire support role and 12 at the actual crossing points. The Remainder having been're-tired' in October 44 as it was felt there would be no use for them and the crews were needed else where.
Hence the similar markings.
