Gary,
Thanks for sharing the pictures. There is an awful lot of good things going on is this diorama and it is really ambitious. Like Faust said, there are some really good detail aspects going on, the stenciling, etc.
Keep it up.
Shaun

Thank you for sharing, Robert
That's a cool video for a reference! Such video enriches my mindset, again, how the German troops busy when pull, push, aim, hold, and everything else when positioning the AT gun at the battle zone. I can't imagine how much risks on them every time such situation happened
Cheers,
Garry

Hi Garry,
allow me one comment regarding the structure...and the photo of this cottage you posted.
If you don't live in an area (and even then..!) you have a problem defining characteristic elements of all kinds. Examples could be...windows on the (european) continent do not open sliding vertically, or else, doors do not have knobs, they have handles, or else roofs in the Ardennes (in the 40s) were all covered in slate, nothing else! Why..?, well because the material is found everywhere in the region.
This is one of the issues we encounter when we build dios sited in far away regions like SE Asia for example.
THe only solution is thorough research, fortunately easier now with the Internet.
Find lots of photos and try to stay within the "norm". Otherwise you will attract full attention towards some stones or brickwork...and not the actual diorama "story".
Just my advice on one issue!
Cheers

You're welcome buddy!
As an additional reference, I have another picture with equivalent wall design construction as follows:
Sorry again for unsatisfied resolution of such image and I hope that I'm not breaking the law of copyright since the editing process was purposed to insert the name of photo artist and authorized website. CMIIW

Hello Romain! Nice to hear a kind opinion from you again
You're right, honestly, rather than to make sure that such wall structure available in 1940's before the diorama construction started, I'm worry that the recent research has a tendency only to provide me a kind of legalization about the wall I constructed In schematic, I mean:
Steps should do:
General research ---> Deep research ---> Construction
Steps I do:
General research ---> Construction ---> Deep research
Sorry for my broken English to tell exactly what I mean
I hope you understand. Oh my God, let such things became a valuable lesson for me in the future project Many thanks for your very kind opinion and I will put it in my mind. I will learn a lot. I will try stay within the "norm" and storyboard
Best regards
Garry

Hi Garry,
you understand where the problem lies...and that is perfect!
We are all learning constantly. It is amazing how (serious) modelling teaches you loads of things from most different topics!
You are on the right track! Just keep "moving"
Cheers

Thanks, glad to hear that I'm already on the right track and nice to discuss about it. Have a quality scale modelling time, Romain!

Garry –
Let me propose another sequence:
Initial concept (may be the result of previous research)
General research
Review-revise concept
First design
Deep research
Review-revise concept and design
Build mock-up (if appropriate - necessary)
Review-revise design
Acquire materials
Construction
Review Construction – revise/add where possible, if desired
Time for me to do this!
