I had a decal disaster - i think they were old stock they cracked and the the ink bled out of them.
So it happens --
I used some nail polish remover (without acetone) to swab off the remains of the decal.
a light sanding and then some touch repainting
apply the new decals (which were more authentic in honesty)
the wash goes on
then some satin varnish to tone it all down
its looking ok --- but some more weathering is required - BUT for once i may keep it real clean ! What do you guys think?
just a few bits to do now ! but still need some opinions on weathering

Mark----Your A-4 is absolutely beautiful. Great job with the weathering as well. Very realistic application and it really makes the plane stand out.. Got to love an A-4!!!!

Well, I thought this was going to be a pretty cut-and-dry project.....oh well. The rhinoplasty went alright and the resin nose and resin cockpit are installed. However, I forgot the Revell kit does not have the 100% LERX's for later model Harriers on the wings, so I had to scratchbuild some and install them. Also, the Revell kit does not have the chaff buckets on the spine so I will be scratchbuilding a set of those as well.
Regards, Ian

I think it looks amazing. But... it's your model, work on it as long as it gives you enjoyment and you feel you're progressing.

Some WIP of my Sdkfz. 251. I thought I would get away with building it 90% before taking the top off and paint the interior. I was mistaken! All the acrylics/modulation (AK Dunkelgelb kit) are on. Hopefully I can get some details, washes and weathering done during the week.
Does anyone know where I can find some more Kar98K rifles? I want to fill out the racks behind the dismounts headrests and the kit only provides one measly Kar98K.

Mark I think it's finished. Looks great the way it is now.
Ian. Who doesn't like a Harrier? The add ons fit well
Sandell. Spare weapons are in the infantry kits. I don't like Tamiya figures as a rule but there's lots of good extra helmets and weapons in there.

Some (but not much) progress on the Sierra Models vacform Barracuda:

Made some detail for the wheel wells

Some work on the Navigator's cabin. The windows took ages to sort, especially the curved front ones.

Made seats for the Nav and Gunner but they're not finished yet.

Made some antennae for the wings, I'll be using the left hand set with four wires:

So much to do and so little time.

Mark, as others have pointed out. it looks great as it is. A beautiful scooter. Looking forward to see it finished.
Murdo, great progress on the vacform barracuda. Impressive work. I have never managed vacform kits.
I little progress on my old Fw 190. A decent kit although it is a mix of several versions, so references are needed to get reasonably accurate.

Better Pic this time. I have to figure out how to do the canopy framing. The framing on the canopy is so indistinct that I can't use it as a guide to cut a mask so I think I will try strips of painted decal film.

Patrick that BA-10 is gorgeous, makes me wish I had done an armour subject.

Sounds like a good solution Cam. Looks very clean!
Would an artist marker work on the canopy? I guess matching the color to the base could be the difficult part of that canopy. Great work on it and lok forward to how you finish it.

Okay, I will now start on my entry for this Campaign. I was initially offended by the fact that this kit claims it is a Snap-Together,

but we all know they don't really stay assembled so I WILL cement it.
I have no ideas on paint but have been looking hard at the black and white checkered finish. I'll be working on this and my T-28 for another Campaign today to get some things off my mind. One of them is that my dog is having eye surgery tomorrow and I can't think about anything else but him right now, so... this should be fun.

Some progress pics... slow going as the plastic and the sprue removal is a mess.
Too many seams and one cannot sand them because of the panel ;lines and rivets.
So, liquid cement is really helping out. Also, putting the parts together is a bit tricky as the instructions don't really give a step-by-step but the end product should be nice. I hope.

Thanks Greg, my dog is doing well. A bit tired but is getting better.
Oh... and the decal sheet?

It's a goofy sticker sheet I guess for those to have a little more fun with than anything.
Probably will paint it the way it is on the box.

Cam-----Good looking Spitfire. Very crisp camo application.
Jeff----Looking forward to the V-2 build. Good thing about those is they don't take up alot of shelf space....well not horizontally anyway.
Best wishes, Ian
