That is 1 hell of a Monster tank, but as previously stated let's actually see it produced and let's see if it is up to the standard of their German Stuff
Also I would say MSRP to be about $89.99 here in the US

Hi Jeff,

Where's the real one now? Not that I'm planning a pilgrimage at the moment, but best to be informed just in case Fortune puts me near enough to strike...

The real T28 no longer resides at Ft. Knox as all that equipment was moved.

I do hope we can read the directions more clearly on this one!

Did it go to Fort Benning? Is the Patton Museum now closed on Knox?

It's a nice kit and long overdue in plastic, but it looks like they have an error on the suspension.

The real T28's HVSS suspension was not the same as the shermans. The T28 HVSS bogie didn't have the top shock absorber like the sherman. Instead the suspension swing arms connected to large columns that were bolted in between the bogies. These columns were on both sides of the tank (they emerged from the Hull and from the side skirts) Besides aiding in the suspension These columns would interlock and would give structural support for the side hull / skirts.

I have the accurate armour kit, and this detail was done by them. Also when I was working on my 1/6th scale model I found lots of resources about the modified HVSS suspension.

Hopefully this CAD image is just a quick sneak peek and the actual kit release will have this fixed. Either way I will get one, Maybe they will do the Troyanov next??

Their FaceBook page confirms it will be released. I don't even like American vehicles, but may consider getting the T-28.
Thanks

Good eye there John as you have researched enough to know.

I wish there were better images of it to show DML other than this drawing:

Lifted from here: http://alliedtanksofworldwarii.devhub.com/blog/655977-t28-super-heavy-tank-in-transport-mode/

Oh well, there's time to correct it or WE will have to.

You da man, David!

Seriously, thanks for sending the correct info to DML. Here's hoping they're able and willing to do something.

Cheers!

Great news! I remember one of these was scratch-built and featured in Military Modeler back in the 1970s. I still have nightmares...

Armorguy; Byrden; et al, you guys are great for putting in the effort to make this model as accurate and authentic as possible. Thank you!

I know T-28 wasn't meant to as a TD but don't you just hear the commander calling, Heeeerrr kitty kitty kitty!

I didn't know the T-28 war real! Always thought it was another spoof from Toy Soldiers: Cold War. Hopefully they can be bothered to add crew compartments!

According to Pat Stansell over at Missing Lynx, the tracks for the T-28 were also specific to the tank, 20 inches wide as opposed to 23 inches for the T80 tracks. I don't know if the track face was different.

If you want it in the travel mode, you will have some "fixin'" to do. I suspect they did their measurements on the vehicle as we see it and did no further research on it.

At least it comes with an aluminum barrel and DS tracks! I can't imagine putting all those links together.

Looks like I have some room on my card so here I go!

DML have just put out a new poster with changes to the suspension. Go to give them credit for listening.

This is all well and good but when are we 1/35th guys (and gals!) gonna get a model of the staff car in the background.
It`s been done in 1/48 but i`d kill to have one to stand next to my Shermans,GMC`s etc. !
