I didnt realize it but yesterday someone else posted a very similar article about it here, so I would guess that the frugal veterans of the modelling world here on Armorama scarfed up all their stock!! Good for us !

Looks like the 1/35 Vosper patrol boat is the new mystery deal but if you use the search engine you can still get the M1070 for $50.

Could some one who placed an order @ $50 please confirm that the order was sucessful. I saw the post (here) about the sale and saw on the Squadron site that No other model was so drasticaly reduced in price....so I was very sceptical as to the legitimacy of the sale price or the security of the web site. This morning the price is $120....I called their phone number and it seemed it might have been just an order processing center.
Please let me know...(I like the protection of being paranoid, but i'm willing to adjust that level if I'm losing out on great deals.)

Squadron is a major retail site and caters to many b&m stores. I wasn't aware of this, but the deals are random. Right now it is Italeri's Vosper.

I can confirm that I got the M1070 sale of $50 this morning and only $6 shipping to Ohio. Have worked with Squadron Shop for many years and even the rare problem was happily solved with a phone call to TX. What am I going to do with all those wheels!!?!?

I bagged two of them at Dark o'clock this morning; the Ball and Chain is wise to neither of them. Yet. If the box it comes in is anywhere near the size of the one that the Italeri Schnellboot S-100 comes in, well....it was nice knowing you guys.

Update:
My wife saw me typing my previous comment. Whatever dough I thought I saved on two of these kits vanished. She just ordered a Kay Spade handbag.
