So I guess as I have two 35132 kits all I need is the CIP panel etch set or make one and that should be close to Iraqi Freedom one. Are their no more M2A2s being used?
Or fased out I know of none destroyed by any Force!! (++) (:-)

Kit number 35132 builds into an M2 "A-nothing". I think even the National Guard has at least all A1 variants and A2 variants. M2A2s (M2A2 or M2A2ODS) are still being used and are probably the majority of Bradleys in the field today.

Ok,
So it is decided, the Eduard sets are for the 'vanilla' M2 Bradley.

They include seat supports and details for the M2 version.
Has anyone checked the accuracy of these parts for the M2?

I just got the Turret interior set, but my bradleys are packed away for moving end of the month and the interior/exterior sets were not in stock at VLS.

I have the old Verlinden book and the Full detail volume I could check as well, but both of those are packed as well...STBM, I know..

So, anyone got the parts in hand AND their references?

Mike

I guess I opened up a can of worms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First, just to give you a little back ground info. All though SABOT is the "All Mighty Motor Pool God", I too have just a little experience witht he Bradley. I have been working on the TOW System of the Bradley for the past 12 years and still currently work on it. I've been inside and out of A'nothings, A2's, and glanced inside A3's with the 4th INF DIV.
Like SABOT said, not all Bradley's recieved complete ODS MWO's. The Bradley's I worked on with the 24th INF DIV after DS got the new "DOG HOUSE" cover sun visor and doors but now new seats.
The TOW systems got upgraded with new MGS's(Missile Guidence Sets) and newer launchers.
The Gunners Sight - ISU (Intergrated Sight Unit) did not get changed until the A3 versions. The A'nothings and A2's ISU had seperate components inside the unit, such as the BSA ( Basic Sight Assemble) which is the night sight, the TVM which had the lenses and the periscope head assembly which is located directly under the "dog house." Once again the only changes to the "dog house" was the new doors and sun visor.
Now, as for modeling Bradly's of OIF. 3rd INF DIV was my old division (24th INF DIV (MECH)) back before 1996. 24th deactivated and 3rd took over. The Brigade I was in was 3rd Brigade, you heard alot about them during the war. OK, SABOT correct me if I am wrong, rather than trading out equipment when a unit deactivates and another takes over, the equipment just stays. So, what I am saying is, the Bradley's that I worked on after the first Gulf War are indeed the same Bradley's that fought over there in the this war.
HEAVYARTY can probably confirm this also, since he is at the same exact place I was on Kelly Hill, home of the 3rd Brigade. Now to the point, all 3 new photo etch sets will work for what I am representing. Now on the interior set, I just had an extra one lieing around in my parts bin.

My last sugestion, find out what unit your Bradley is going to be from and research that units Bradley and then got from there.

Oh and as far as an A3's interior, thats even more work to change!!!!!!!!! New gunners sight in turret, FLIR system mounted near the right rear bustle rack, monitors mounted inside the squad compartment and on above the TC'c joystick in the turret, and a lot of other little nick-nacks.

WHOA!!! Im tired now. We need a whole days lecture just to explain the Bradley to everone.

THANKS AGAIN TO SABOT(ROB) FOR CLEARIFING ALL OF THIS--- YOU THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After re-reading your question, I think you also could be referring to the swim curtain covers. The curved pieces go around the edge of the Bradley, between the armor skirt and hull. These rubber covers have been removed on all late Bradleys. I'll leave both answers up in case one answers your question.

As a FYI, The swim barriers were supposed to be removed from the older M2A2's starting in Summer of 1997 by order of a MWO IIRC.

They were supposed to be removed, but not necessarily all of them were removed. The one on my M2A2 is still there.

Geeeze...confusion is the word for the day, er, until Sabot entered into the fray. Now it's all too clear. Okay, i'm gonna get the M2 Tamiya with Eduard interior PE. Maybe i'll get a round "toit" one day. Thanks everyone for the input.

Picked up an M2 with Eduard PE interior set for under 30 bucks on ebay...now gotta make room on the shelf...thanks again for the posts.
