I had been lurking for a while here before I actually joined. What can I say ... I was shy!
I frequented missing Links before that. I had just posted pictures of my first ever dio and a certain Mr. Starkweather offered to host my pictures. Man, I was so proud! Sent the pictures and joined up! One of my better moves!
Thanks Jim, and to all the guys and gals on here. Long may it last!!

Wow! are we that many?? dont think I would have dared join if I`ve known that.

A big toast to us!

Why? Everyone has something to add to the community. I see you use the original Robin Hood avatar that Jim made for me. That makes us brothers.

I like my current avatar. It inspired the color scheme for my motor pool banner.

I'd hate to be register user #666. That was my only "just because" post. I didn't want to be stuck at that number for any length of time.

I'm one of the last single digit midgets as registered user #9.

Gadzooks! I just checked and I am #110...

I guess I lurked for a LOOONG time. My # to post ratio is WAY off!

Anyhow- that said, as someone said this site is the MOST polite, helpful, enjoyable site I know of! I was doing this a long time ago. I frequented the original Squadron Shop. I built a lot of kits, owned my own hobby shop in the early 70s, I never really lost interest in this hobby, but it was ARMORAMA that finally got me to actually COMPLETE a kit again!!

Jim, Gunnie, Sabot and all the others that have created and built this site- THANKS!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is I'm truly thankful for finding this site. It has been a quiet evening here at work so I have been going through all my posts and all the good advices and tips I have been getting throughout the years. Armorama is truly a great site for knowledge, wich I'm proud to be a part of.

Well, thats all from member #660 (who is glad he didn't sign up 6 members later...)

I'm # 55, and I was 55 yrs old when I read Sabot's post on RMS and checked out Armorama.
Thanks Rob.
I have never seem a more friendly, supportive, helpful group of people. I am so proud to be a member of this "club". You people are great. And Jim, this has to be a labor of love, it shows.
Here's to the best site on the internet, bar none.
