mmmmh... really interesting!
I never heard about corduroy roads... they seems terribly rough, but also an intelligent way to afford the russian changing in weather conditions with changing of the seasons... the pictures you posted are the first I ever seen about, but I start a research about, I say again, really interesting!!

Thanks Paolo. It was fun to build although rather time consuming. I guess the roads could even withstand extensive flooding. There are reports in a Russian source I have that states that it sometimes appeared as though the Germans were walking on top of water when the roads would be completely flooded yet the corduroy roads would still allow them to pass unobstructed. I love your work by the way, paolo. Incredibly detailed and meticulous on your Gaz, etc . Your work sets a very high standard for us all to try to live up to.
