I'm mainly an acrylic person so clean-up is pretty easy without making a complete mess. I'm doing some nmf work which requires spraying lacquers. What's the best way to clean up without making a big mess? Thanks.

Hi Tin Can
When I bought my first air brush I swore I would never use lacquer paints in it. Or enamel paint for that matter. I read that they could ruin my AB, and they were a messy cleanup. But thats all wrong! In my humble opinion spraying some lacquer thinner through the AB is much easier than than messing with all those acrylic cleaners. Plus lacquer, and enamel paints won't dry so fast and won't stick to the inside of your AB like acrylics do. But they smell and you need careful ventilation.
Trust me you will find your cleanups quicker and easier. At least I do!
Good Modeling!

Spray some thinner through untill it comes out clear. Then it's best to take apart & clean, to get anything tat may have dried or stuck.

After spraying with lacquer, run a lttile lacquer thinner thru. Then a little regular thinner..then flush with water..Take the needle out and wipe it off. USe the smae method as your acrlyics but when lacquer thineer instead..You should not need alot for cleanup
