just came across this while looking for people using true earth washes... must say that looks a very good finish (and shows me about TE too)....

qq - if you didnt have the TE washes, how would you go about getting the same effects? just wondering if I should invest in some.....

Robert

There are other way to get color modulation, through shading and highlighting during painting(usually with airbrush), dot filters(usually done with oil paints), selective washes, etc. I have been using True Earth for some time, and I personally find it to be a great product, easy to use, effective, and I like the fact is it water based. I produces great results on its own, but I do combine it with other methods and products too, for example for streaking I use AK Interactive.

I hope this helps, and I do definately recommend True Earth.

thanks Kevin... I am going to continue my Demag with dot filtering (have used on aircraft but as this is only my 2nd AFV not on that as yet) but may look at the T.E. for the pz 1a Flak Panzer as a test (may also get the snow paint too to allow me to do a chipped whitewash without hairspray....
