Basecoated with Tamiya newish colour "Wooden Deck Tan", which is out of teh bottle a decent match for modern Desert Tan:

Marco, that came out really nice. I like the flaked paint on the rubber (?) flaps around the turret.

Ok Been away for a bit but kept going on My panther 2nd armor kit ever. for the Campaign is done. I used Archer transfers, Flory wash and first attempt at pigments on the tracks. The rubber tracks were absolutley horrible and almost cost me my panther. but I think they came out ok. just finishing up the base and commander. Critiques are welcome for my completed project. here are pics.

Completed. Panther A 1abt/Pz Rgt 4 Anzio/Italy 44

Eugene;
Hi! Looks like a zimm'd Panther, to me! Not too shabby for a second ever tank kit - MUCH better than my 2cd ever!
There IS one GLARING issue which needs to be addressed for proper Panther look... Wheel details!
Your tank has those standard dished wheels which came with solid rubber tires... the typical Panther wheels (there were a few "steel-wheel Panthers" - but this is not one of those rare things). Paint those tires some rubber color (dark gray, smudgy black, etc.). The idler was NOT rubber-tired, so should get a "steel" finish on the aspect which rubs those tracks, as should the teeth on your sprocket. The sprocket teeth and those rubber-tires are both prominent and visible and should be fixed up for best look.

Some progress. I added the green to the winter camo. I went ahead and applied dry-brushings of green and a dark wash. A bit overdone of the dry-brushing but I tend to do that on winter-camo vehicles to pick out the details. If it had been a parade or demonstration vehicle, I would have kept it a lot cleaner.
I still need to add the turret mat armor, the two antennas, coax MG barrel, side mirrors, knocked-off spotlight, light-guards, and the grating pieces for the rear-sides of the hull. I also have to do the detail painting like the periscopes and tools.

I finished this one up last night. I think I got all of the odd bits on and painted up. Just a couple quick snap pictures until I can get some better ones. So I'll give it a few days to see how she looks and if I need to do anything else to her.

I somehow missed uploading these yesterday with my updates. So here they are. I'm calling this one done and will be uploading a couple of pictures of it to the gallery.
At first, I was not happy about this kit, but I have to admit that as I built it, it really grew on me. It's not something I'd usually build and the kit had some quirks.
Thanks John for the campaign. It was fun and there's a lot of nice work being done here.

Paul,
I borrowed the winter camo scheme from the instructions for a Revell T-72 w/ERA. I sprayed it with a neutral gray. I then masked off where I wanted it to be gray and green. I sprayed it flat white. I removed the masking tape. To add the green I used a stencil brush and dabbed it on freehand over the top gray sections and a bit on the sides. The stencil brush lets you layer the color and get a quasi-translucent look at the edges. I then dry-brushed with Poly-S Soviet Green (pale green) and the Dark Olive Green. The darker green was more for the white and gray sections. I then tied it all together with a dark wash.
In the pictures the white parts look more washed out than in person.

This will be my contribution to this campaign, Bronco's ZTZ-99/99G. The kit and it's details are superb.
This tank's official name is ZTZ-99 (WZ-123 is the Chinese industrial designation and Type 99 is the designation in the Western World).
HobbyBoss also have several good ZTZ-99 kits. I chose Bronco kit, because of finer details and for the tracks. According to my research there are not a ZTZ-99B designated tank as one of the HobbyBoss offerings in the Chinese PLA, there are only ZTZ-99 (also known as ZTZ-98G, basic prototype variant), ZTZ-99G (additional armor modules both on the hull and on the turret, also has laser warning system) and finally ZTZ-99A1 (reshaped turret, extended ERA panels etc. this is the digital camouflaged version that we saw on parade in 2009).
PLA has only 99G and 99A1 variants on active duty. If I am wrong please feel free to correct me, I am not a Chinese tank expert after all, I just did a deep research about this matter yesterday. For example, this thread has different info.
We can build either ZTZ-99 or ZTZ-99G with this kit, I am planning to build 99G variant out of the box (maybe with few additional details).
