Hi guys. Just recently finished this little tank, and I must say that the build was a pleasure. Few little cosmetics still to be done, but it won't change anything really.
Any ideas maybe what's wrong here?

Cheers,
Matt

Is this a trick question?....
Looks great, I'd be happy with that. I'm no expert but the overall finnish looks pretty good, not overdone. Half the battle with the weathering fun is knowing when to stop. I am at this stage with my own kit and there is a fine line to be found. What model is it?

cheers Paul

Thanks Paul.
It's Trumpeter T-62BDD 1/35. I was looking for tank tired and worn with long service in Afghanistan, but not a moving scrap

And it's true, sometimes you just can't stop with all those pigments and washes and scratches and... That's my first model with a proper plan in my head.

I woudnt change anything. Its very nice and balanced. Maybe the track links could use a bit more rust but thats it. Im looking forward to Your next project.

Thanks everyone
As for rust on tracks, well there wouldn't be much of it if terrain is mostly sand and dessert. It would simply clean the tracks during the exploitation.

haha... i was thinking about doing some little dio on that base, but now i see that it looks cool anyway

Looks good. The only change I would make is to tighten up the track a bit, maybe remove a link or two per side. They look too loos and sag aroud the rear and front road wheel. They should be tighter. You can see what I mean below.

Your painting looks perfect. Anyway I agree with Gino. Maybe track links should be a little tighter

However, congrats, that's really well done!

Ditto on the base! Nice way of building the base. First time I have seen it done that way and the color on the base ties in very well. Maybe you had a scrap wooden box available or built it that way but it works!
Kit as well done too. Just the right paint. Loved the pharse "moving scrap"

Looks great! I'm just finishing the MIG conversion on my T-62.

I would say that the rear turret light looks backwards. Should be facing towards the rear and have the tanks callsign that would be lit up during night moves I think.

cheers

I'm most impressed with the track sage being just right for a stationary tank. The overall build is great, too!

Very nice finish. Not too overdone on the chipping, which is a nice change.
If removing one link doesn't take out enough sag, consider taking out two on the bottom run, wire them together with very thin wire, and tighten it as much as you can. Rotate the track around so the your joint is hidden behind the rubber shields. Alternately you could leave the links in, but run wire through the top run and pull it down over the axles and gently tighten it. If you pull the top run down close to the road wheels, it will take the slcak out the angled runs. Either method works.

Thanks again everyone.

As for tracks, I removed one each side, i think it's better no, pictures later today.

I'm really surprised by the comments on the base... Since this is not a base for it... should be more like a base for a base
