My wife bought me the AFV Club Duster and the Verlinden Drivers compartment for my birthday. Does anyone have any pictures of the interior and or radio set up? Thanks!

Try www.primeportal.net. They usually have quite a bit there and may have what your lookink for. Also try www.missing-lynx.com.

prime portal has one set of pics of a Duster wreck, but everything is rusted out- not much help on colors. I didn't think to look on missing-lynx so I just did. So far nothing. Thanks for the tips though

Geez Jason, you could have just PMed me on FB!
How many shots do you want, and do you want M42 or M42A1, I've got one of each.

What do you think is the difference in the interior?

Equipment stowage more than anything. Not sure off the top of my head, but I'll take a look at each on Monday and see what the differences are.

I've noticed that two types of steering control crossbars can be seen (same for the M41). Steve Zaloga's pics show the late production type. I'm not sure it's a giveaway to differenciate a M42 from a M42A1 though

Yeah, those things, the split roof compartment, the case for the M19 IR periscope on the door, and others don't have anything to do with the model designation, they are just evolutionary design changes. The only difference in models is whether it has a carburetted (M42) or fuel injected (M42A1) engine and as far as I have been able to find you can't tell the difference without opening the engine compartment. A lot of stuff was retro-fitted as the original equipment wore out, so it really mixes things up.
Supposedly all the M42s were converted to M42A1s, so that should be all there is out there to photograph.

There are differences between my two vehicles, but I honestly haven't paid enough attention to both of them to notice a significant difference. The one we have on display in the museum is an M42, while the one we're getting running is an A1.
