Hey guys, we've got 'em here in the State's. I'm looking at one on my shelf as I type this.
And you're right, it does look like a nice build (although there has been some 'detractor's' of the pure accuracy of the kit).......people always need to complain about something, don't they?

Hey "Tread"
Is it the kit with plans included to scratch the add-on armor, or is the armor package actually included in it? I have the original kit with the AA Op Telic upgrade in my stash, just waiting till I finish my current project. Since I heard about this one a few weeks ago I've been wondering if Trump went back and corrected some of the mistakes they made.

Phantom,
This is an updated kit that was announced a few weeks back at one of the big hobby shows in Japan, supposedly to be released sometime this month. The updated kit apparently will include the front and side armor package. Hobbycraft also released a "Basrah" Challenger 2 that is just the reboxed Trumpeter kit. This kit does not include the add-on armor, but does include decals for an Op Telic C2, and plans to scratch the armor package.

Any online vendors have it yet? I've always wanted to have an Op Telic chally 2! That is, after I finished my original chally 2...

Your dead right Kelly, my kits the earlier release Chally 2 (my bad), without the Chobham applique armour upgrade and the TEC exhaust plus other tid-bits..........
Now that I've been corrected, anyone know how many sheckles the new Trump Op. Telic Chally 2 kit is going for? Kinda curious since the AA upgrade kit is so expensive.

I have checked all the online retailors I usually frequent and none have the new kit listed yet, not even for pre-order. Having said that I would imagine the price would be in line with the rest of Trumpeters 1/35th AFV offerings, somewhere in the $20.00-30.00 range. Even though I have the AA set I'll probably still get one of these when they come out...it's a sickness.
Cheers,
Mike

Kelly, I don't know if you remember, but there was a fairly lengthy thread about the Op.Telic Chally 2 and it's 'sand skirts'. One of the posters built a very nice Chally 2 with skirts he had 'accurized' by slightly melting the plastic and making it wrinkle up a wee bit. I wonder how Trumpeter handled that?
I was orignally planning on getting the AA conversion kit and cutting the skirts off and adding my own out of another material entirely. Just curious if Trumpeter moulded the skirts like in the photo that mikeli posted at the top of this thread. If so, there must have been a mighty wind blowin' when they took the shot!
