Am I correct in thinking that the max size for uploading pics to the galleries is 3MB?The reason I ask is,the pictures I am trying to add are running about 2.4 to 2.7 MB,but the pics don't show up in the gallery. The upload process works, and it tells me that the pics have been uploaded, but they do not show up in the gallery. Thanks,Jeff T.

Jeff if you resize the images to 800 x 600 which is a perfectly reasonable size for the net they should only be between about 80 to 200kb

Darren, the galleries will take them if I resize to 1024X768.Which is O.K.I was just hoping to get rid of that step.If in fact the max size is 3MB,I wonder why,if my pics are at 2.4,2.7 MB ,they won't go.Jeff
P.S. I should mention that I just got a new camera, and I'm still trying to figure it out

Jeff,
Have a look at PhotoRazor:
http://www.stormdance.net/software/photorazor/software%20overview.htm
It's what I use and can resize in batches, works fast.
Cheers Rob.

I find that the easiest site to use, not only for image hosting but sharing and posting to forums, is www.imgur.com
You can create albums, get the proper code for forums automatically, and it will even automatically resize the photos to most of the common sizes for you. Highly recommended, but just .02

Hi Jeff,
hereīs what I use:
http://www.resizeyourimage.com/
Simple to use and it sends you resized image straight back
to your PC under Downloads on win 7. I donīt know what the others are like but I have had no problems with this.

Sometimes a photo will not upload if the file is currently open on your PC, so make sure they are all closed. I have noticed this when uploading photos for features / reviews which is different from the gallery, but it is worth making sure this isn't what is causing it.
The Photorazor thing looks good in terms of it is free and it specifically states it won't over write your original photos, so you'll retain the full size versions. Stormdance... not sure about that name though
