It was supposed to say built, not build...But anyways,
I can't post build logs. I get to sidetracked then I lose interest. So instead of getting you all psyched for a diorama, I'm just gonna post what I've done the past few weeks.
Three Dragon figs, one Jaguar fig and the Tamiya Schwimmwagen.
Ta-da!
His Jacket didn't come out like I hoped. I followed a how-to guide here on Armorama, but I didn't have the almighty Vellejo paints
Mr. Traumatic-head-injury is nearly done. Apologies for the sub-par photo quality. But it might hide some short comings...
And here's another one:
The quality is bad, and it's hard to tell that he's got my first attempt at Splinter camo
Another one:
He's my first real attempt at Waffen SS camo, and I think it's okay looking. But he's not done yet
Howsabout a Schwim?
Hey! Somebody in the back seat had a terrible day...
Driver is from a Jaguar kit ("Under Fire"), 2nd attempt at SS camo. It's got an 11th SS insignia decal, and I made it's little canopy thing appear to be shot off. I forgot to take a picture of that though...
If you're thinking "My God, this sucks! He ought to go rot in a hole the rest of his life!", please, stop, that's a bit much. Plus the Schwimmwagen is only 90% done, and my figures need touching up. Also, before anyone thinks to suggest it, I'm going to invest in Vallejo. Kinda seems like a "must do" around here anyways...
More to come. Maybe...

Conor, no, I enjoyed this post... modelling is all about fun, even if it sometimes gets a bit serious, and even if your subject matter is even more so.
I think your painting is OK as well - one easy thing that would make the figures look better is some matt varnish, Dulcote, or whatever, to take away the shininess of the clothing. Maybe you should have got rid of a few more of the mould seams in places as well... but it seems you wanted to get on with the painting!
I like Mr Traumatic-head-injury. Maybe a lot of blood to still be holding a rifle, but then again there were some desperate times for these guys. The other figures are good too, especially like the white helmet one, even if his eyes look a bit wild.
The Schwimm is nice too - a messy bit of glue on the inside maybe. Now I guess some weathering on the outside.
I love the way you can see all those other models seemingly piled up in the background - some of the photos really look like they're in a war zone!!
Thanks for sharing your work.

Oh no, not serious at all, I was just bored writing that Yeah I've got quite a bit just sitting around on my desk, all waiting to go into this or that diorama I said I would start a year ago lol
On the Schwimmwagen that's actually putty on the inside. There was actually a gap I had to fill, and it ended up getting a bit messy.
As for Mr. Crazy-eyes, yes, that's gonna need a little bit of work hahaha
Thanks for the comments

Hi Connor.
You are doing better than me i have never even done an SS camo smock yet!! I also like the crazy guy, love his white helmet.
What type of putty did you use? have you tried apoxie sculpt? It is a little expensive but well worth it & it can be brushed into any joints & feathered with water, saves on having to try & sand hr to reach spots!
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the comments, white helmet guy is my favorite too haha
I actually use Testors putty. Really, really, really not great. I'll look into apoxie sculpt, a better type of putty should work wonders here.
Thanks

It's always fun(except when I'm doing German tank wheels or magic tracks), and I'm probably gonna get a lot more done this winter.
Thanks
