I think the nets are made with mesh on a plastic frame. Looks like it has a basic interior as well.

OK. At least this should make the AM guys happy. But the kit appears to be light years away from Heller usual production...

Well it is a nice kit.
Quality is increasing at Heller. Price is cheap.
And just to explain to non French modeler how we react, please let me quote Louis XIV
"When I gave a gift to someone, I make one frustrated guy and hundred of jealous ones"
Never happy in France. So just build it and TGI exist in plastic
Let wait for the AM for the wheels and PE guys for the RPG net

thanks for your comments
really french people are never satisfied lol
Actual start installation:
For realize the RPG-net ... personally not convinced ...
The front plate "Lebanon" and that of the box:
The turret (upper and lower parts unglued: bishops to put in place)
Trains running really well detailed but will be hidden ...
After these 2 hours of editing, I think Heller s is set to modern standards (HobbyBoss, Academy and other, even better than Panda!)

That's a bit short to tell the kit is full of mistakes. As modelers we are supposed to be patient so you can elaborate and thus help us all avoiding big mistakes.
As I haven't the kit yet, it will sure save me some precious time comparing the kit parts and real parts pictures.
From the pictures I saw, the point that really annoys me more is the RPG-net rendition but I don't think PE guys will do really better. PE is flat and usually too thin. But never say never.

The problem's the same with replicating Hesco wire mesh...

The VBCI is fitted with a 25mm GIAT Industries M811 dual-feed autocannon.

Heller's rendition of the Galix system on the rear plate may be a little simplified (it seems a few bolts are missing for one thing), but to my eye it doesn't look as though it is "totally wrong", a part just needs to be added to make it complete.
Heller photos show this clearly :
As for the anti-rpg nets, hopefully AM companies should be able to come up with fairly convincing PE sets.
Replicating the fabric and straps that are wrapped around the frames will be more of a challenge...

OK now I understand what you meant. Probably Blast will provide some bits of resin to fix this. But with a good razor saw I guess that the average modeler should be able to remove the original part and modify it with some extra work.

Hi Frenchy,
o.k. it`s obviouly a French gun. But I wonder if a turned fluted barrel of the Bushmaster can be a replacement for the plastic barrel?
