Hey all,

I've got a bit of an issue here that I need some help on. Are there any references for WWII Japanese artillery and antiaircraft artillery colors throughout the war? Along with the colors, I'll need approximate FS#s. I've got a Type 88 75mm AA gun that's about to go to the paint shop for a complete refurb and repaint.

There are currently two threads pertaining to Japanese camouflage colours here on Armorama. One from September is devoted to what's called "Japanese Artillery Brown." and this was the primary colour used for most Japanese ordnance. In that thread are listed appropriate Tamiya and Vallego Colours for various camo colours. A further discussion of colours can be found in the IJA Type 4 'Ke-Nu' Light Tank Blog. Hope this helps!

Thanks Jan, those were helpful. I've got a good idea of what I'm looking for, but I haven't seen an FS# equivalent listed anywhere. Does anyone know of one?

According to this conversion chart, FS 30277 should be OK for "Japan Artillery Brown"...
