Thanks for your kind words gents.
For the camo netting I cut up some strips of loosely woven bandage, which I brushed with a white glue and water mix and then wrapped the strips around the barrel, ensuring I had a few strips hanging down loosely. Then, after brushing on a little more glue I sprinkled some dried herbs over the bandage. The dried herbs are just the standard dried herbs you buy in the supermarket in a packet (see photo below). Once there was an adequate amount of herbs stuck to the bandage I gently pressed in some areas to achieve a slight change in depth in areas. Once the glue had dried I also dabbed on a little paint here and there as the herbs looked a little to light in colour. The same technique was used on the turret.
I hope this makes sense? My head is still a little cloudy from celebrating last night
I should also add that this idea was not originally my own so I cannot take credit for it. I recall seeing someone else do something similar on a forum a long time ago. I cannot remember which forum though...
I plan to make another camo net for a previous build soon, so I will take photos to demonstrate how I did it if you are interested?
Again, thanks for your comments.
Regards
Greg
